The next few pages will take you through my very first Green Russian Sovtek Big Muff Pi re-housing. I undertook this project with very little experience with electronics and only one other guitar pedal project under my belt (a Do-It-Yourself Fuzz Face Clone kit from Big Tone Music Brewery)
This isn't the best way to re-house a Big Muff Pi by any means. Those of you who have made or re-housed pedals in the past will probably get a kick out of my methods. But in the end it worked and I ended up with a prettier pedal equipped with modern conveniences like True Bypass and an AC adapter tap.
For starters, here are some things to think about before you start your project:
1) Paint the enclosure and install the LED and power tap before you wire them up
2) Label the pots before you remove them from the old pedal.
