So as we open up this Russian Muff, we notice that it's a bit different from the first project. Looks like this was a later version, as the internal components seem to be more carefully laid out, and there is definitely more of a method to the Russian madness.

 

But wait!!! Before you start unscrewing things, make sure you mark which pot is which! You can identify them using the above picture, but it's easier to look at a "V" "D" or "T" on the side of the pot!

 

After we mark the pots, we can take them out. You'll notice that the LED setup is also a bit different from the previous muff. Instead of going straight to the board, they've wired up a little contraption with a resistor on it.

I'm going to go ahead and mark one of the wires so I know which is which later. I need to either desolder them or cut them in order to remove the LED from the enclosure.
